Patience Edonmhiaye, hails from Edo State Nigeria, she is a veteran Gospel singer and a humanitarian, she is popularly known by her stage name PAT EDO. In 1994, she released her debut album entitled “His name is Jesus” produced by a Ghanaian acclaimed producer (Chi-kin- chee) and co-produced by Tapiless studio, mix and mastered by engineer Frank. The album was made of Seven tracks and distributed on physical cassette format. In 2018 she already released her 4th studio album to launch her 5th album on the 25th/11/2018 in Ireland .
Education:
She attended Udoneria Primary school to proceed at Efandion secondary school Uromi, before shew left Nigeria to further her studies in Dublin Ireland, where she studied healthcare at Dublin Institute of Technology (Dublin) , she graduated as a healthcare assistance in 2008.
Music career:
Pat cited her key influences in her music genre, whe she had the inspiration, she mentioned the likes of legendary Gospel musicians Don Moen , Panam Percy Paul and Onyeka Onwenu.
After her successful debut album release in the 90’s, she went recording her annual EP’s which catapulted her to various Gospel music award nominations in Africa and Europe.
In 2014, she was honoured with the Archiver awards in Holland 2014, for Gospel singer of the Year,subsequently in 2015, she was nominated in two categories for Gospel album of the Year and Gospel singer of the Year, the event took place in Nigeria and hosted by Nigerian Gospel Award, where she won and successfully sold thousands of units in her third studio album at Alaba International market in Lagos.
Humanitarian work:
She uses most of her time to manifest against child abuse, her role in the campaign had grown a huge community fan base in Ireland to create awareness and educate children about the uncompromising social ills.~ Jaguda Press
